Mediation empowers the parties to negotiate and resolve the dispute promptly, cost effectively and confidentially. Mediation is similar to facilitation, but involves a trained mediator. It is a private process. Mediation does not impose a decision on the parties like a Judge or an Arbitrator. Mediation enables the parties to negotiate flexible and creative solutions which need not conform to strictly legal rights. Costs are usually shared equally.
Mediation Fees
We have a comprehensive mediation service. To ensure that the cost of mediation is related to the amount in dispute our fees are based on the amount at issue.
Our standard fees include all advance prepararation time and attendances by the mediator at the mediation conference per day (defined as between 9.30am and 5.30pm (8 hours) on any working day). Any extra time required for the mediation beyond 8 hours is charged on an hourly basis.
